Introduction:
In the dynamic world of pharmaceuticals, a label isn’t just a label; it’s a statement. At ANTI Design, we recently embarked on an exciting label design journey for a client who found us through our captivating wall mural project in Hamilton. Although our client, let’s call her M (Who prefers to remain anonymous), her company, BonnEarth, is making waves in the industry with a unique line of vitamin products. In this blog, we’ll share our creative process and how we crafted bottle label designs that align with BonnEarth’s values of clarity, sustainability, and vegetarian-friendliness.

The Initial Connection:
M discovered our design prowess through a Facebook advertisement showcasing our remarkable mural work in Hamilton. It was a delightful surprise to connect with M, who entrusted us with the task of designing bottle labels for three of BonnEarth’s vitamin products. With over three years of experience in packaging design, including work with EgoCare on items such as masks and COVID test kits, we were ready for the challenge.

Designing for Clarity and Vegetarian-Friendly Appeal:
Within just one working day, we presented Sam with the initial drafts of our label designs. Sam was not only impressed with our design efficiency but also delighted with the visual concepts we proposed. The word “amazing” was used generously to describe her feelings towards our work. However, in the world of design, perfection is a journey, not a destination.

One issue that arose during our discussions was related to a kids’ version of the labels. Initially, we featured two young boys on the packaging, but we soon realized that it was challenging to represent all genders and ethnicities accurately, potentially leading to unintentional biases. After a thoughtful conversation, we decided to introduce a cartoon character in the form of Earth, which was more inclusive and resonated with BonnEarth’s commitment to diversity.

Revisions and Finalization:
The subsequent rounds of design revisions focused on refining the label layouts and tweaking certain text elements. It was essential to maintain a balance between clarity, sustainability, and vegetarian-friendliness while ensuring that the labels conveyed the intended message. Through collaboration and dedication, we successfully completed the project.

Client’s Satisfaction and Recommendations:
Upon project completion, M expressed her heartfelt gratitude, emphasizing that she would wholeheartedly recommend our services to others. We take pride in our ability to deliver designs that align with our clients’ values and leave a lasting impression.
